| The South Coast
Research and Technology Park, near the intersection of Routes 24 and
195, offers technology firms a unique alternative, including the region's
only Research and Development Overlay District. Biotechnology and
related uses are pre-approved, and UMass Dartmouth's Advanced Technology
and Manufacturing Center (ATMC) is onsite to assist businesses with
technology and manufacturing solutions. |
 The ATMC's primary mission is to leverage university resources for regional economic development. Through industry and university partnerships, the ATMC engages in research and supports technology venture startups. The center also provides educational opportunities for students as well as research opportunities for UMass Dartmouth faculty. In addition, the ATMC hosts conferences, workshops and symposia. |
